So sometimes when i try to convert flv files into something else, like Mpeg, avi, mp3, ect, i get this message:



What does it mean? do they just want me to buy their software?

But yeah they just want you to buy their shit, I'm guessing the free one doesn't support flv based on that screen.

Damn, that sucks. It was the best FLV free converter out there. Luckily, i have found alts. It seems it is picky when it come to FLVs now.

That's it... but yours seems kinda outdated unless I'm mistaken (I'm using version 6.98.0, and I can convert to and from .flv just fine)

Use Mediacoder, it can encode anything into any other format almost. It can be a little complex and hard to get your head around to begin with, but the payoff is worth it.

@lizard, if you're trying to convert files then try zamzar thats what I use and I'm usually content with what I get and they email the finished link to you so no BS "download this or survey that" pop up that other online converters pull. Good luck.
