Thread: [PS2-Emu] PCSX2 0.9.9 Updated! (Complete w/ BIOS, Tools & Patches) + BIOS Collection

Thumbs up [PS2-Emu] PCSX2 0.9.9 Updated! (Complete w/ BIOS, Tools & Patches) + BIOS Collection

    Hi Emu Fans ^^

I just packed an most possible up-to-date package of PCSX2. It's not 0.9.6, not 0.9.7 and not 0.9.8, BUT 0.9.9 !! including the latest plugins and the latest BIOS I got. As a bonus I also added some pretty useful tools. I will try to hold this thread up to date and hopefully it helps some to get the latest version of PCSX2!

I have deleted all duplicated files (every plugin and pcsx2.exe) from the original SVN build. I kept the plugins with the version in filenames (in order to detect updates quickly) and kept the pcsx2.exe without a version in the filename (to keep the possible desktop shortcut working), also to save space. They were exactly the same files, don't worry.

If someone knows more Patches/Cheats that will fix some in-game stuff, maybe a game which would not be playable without it or to come across an crashing video or something like that, please tell me! I would be very thankful. ^^

    1.) SOURCES FOR HELP

Read the following helpful text files if you need:

PCSX2_iNSTALLATiON-m3Zz.txt (in the extracted release folder)
    Release_iNFO-m3Zz.txt (in the "PCSX2" folder)
    Patches_iNFO-m3Zz.txt (in the "cheats" folder)
    Tools_iNFO-m3Zz.txt (in the "tools" folder)

Guides in many languages, but only for 0.9.6/0.9.7 can be found here: http://pcsx2.net/guide.php
Not bad as a getting started guide, but just not up to date and don't download any PCSX2 versions from those links, that's all out of date! Am superior to rip the German and English Guide (probably all) as HTML and integrate them into my release.

    Note:
If it's not already on your system (either x86 or x64!) installed
    - since this was build with Visual C++ 2010,
you will need Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redist (x86) (Download: HERE or HERE).

You Sir, are my God! This is so lovely, as a mother would wrap a lunch to her child. Thank you, really.

I do have 2 questions. Is it better to use Direct3D11 or Direct3d9 (both hardware)? I have a Quad Core AMD Athlon 2.8 Ghz, 4 GB Ram, GeForce GTX 460 768 MB. I'm already playing games on "HD" resolutions, I'm just wondering which option would give best performance? Also, at the main plugin menu, when we first start 0.9.9 should we just leave them plugins as they are? I've looked at the guides of previous versions, but their plugins are different(outdated).

    Thank you again!

its better to use the 3d11 option if you have it, and in the newer versions in regards to emulation settings there is a small box at the bottom that says presets just put that to 1 and it should be fine

    SCPH-90001 is latest BIOS?!

Here's my question: Is it better than my BIOS dumped from my friend's PS2 slim?
