PCSX2: Direct or GSDX 10 won't appear

CPU specs: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor.
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9300GE
Windows Vista

Last time I could do this but now I can't since my cpu got wiped out twice...its been a long time.

I got the Microsoft Visual stuff in, Service Pack 2, directx installed and then apparently I supposed to have a service pack called KB971512. But it won't work. Both 64 and 86 said I can't install it like it got disabled or can't associated the content...

Please Help me...I can't find the solution when I yahoo it...
Oh yes, I have the latest one installed 0.9.7 (r3878) and binary too.

could u be a little more specific on your situation? what do u mean it wont appear? like in the plug ins it doesnt appear as an option?

or that when selected as an option you get no video on screen or it locks up pcsx2 they're are many variables that are not explained by such a vague description of the problem.

well heres a dumb question, do you have direct x 10 and does your video card support direct x 10 as well as pixel shader 2.0?

I'm pretty sure the video card supports this, the last time it could do this (no I didn't change it).
Direct x10...well I install it but maybe I got the wrong one? How do I check this?

well idk boss i got same version and my card supports and it shows up for me thats what i use (ssse3-direct10)...maybe reinstall or see if you need to update drivers?

Reinstalling...That's what I've been doing for like 3 hours.
I know it has to do with KB971512 but it won't install...

Its one of those windows service packs (Microsoft Updates) used in operating pcsx2.
Its what I remember on solving why no 10 doesn't appear (and that particular thread doesn't exist anymore).

idk man im all updated with windows and its still showing for me but i got windows 7 so idk if thats a big difference or not

heres a quick fix....GET RID OF VISTA...i couldnt do anything with vista not the gc or dc or the ps2 emu would work right...popped in windows 7 worked perfect...xp somewhat perfect...vista....thumbs down....

Hahaha...I have been grinding in real life for quite awhile but the money always goes to research books...and spices these days.

On another note...
I finally found the bloody solution!
Do auto update not manual...then that particular service package will be recognized by the CPU. And now it works! WOOHOO!
