SLOW gaming in 2 player mode

in some games like breath of fire 4 there are instances that when you are in a middle of some place that is populated the game gets slower that the usual..
and somtimes when your in 2 player mode, the same thing happens.. as if your playing counter strike with a bad pc.. so slow gaming...

what may be the cause of this prob?

did i make some error in the configuration process??
should i use other video plug-in that is more compatible with my emulator??

It's probably just added stress on the processor, not much you can do about it other than maybe adjust the video settings a bit, but that probably won't solve your problem completely.
