You need a huge amount of hits before Megaupload pays out (and they're picky about acceptable sizes). Plus the payout is waaaaaaayyyyy smaller. You need 100,000 hits for MU to give $100, Fileserve can pay up to $25 for 1,000 hits.

Of course, I've posted a bunch of uploads on both Megaupload and Fileserve. Generally by the time a MU file has 100 hits, the FS mirror only has 2-3 hits

Well, it's across your entire account. Which makes it a bit easier. Compared to Fileserve needing the 1000 hits on a single file for a payout.

Yeah, I've tossed random porn out on the net before and got 20,000 hits in week. Of course the host deleted the file then, porn always violates some ToS fine print

eh i use megaupload for one reason: automatic captcha in jdownloader. rapidshare the same though i noticed it only lets you download 200mb then gives you a time out or whatever. also dont complain, if a game you like isnt in the file hoster you want just go look on another site its what i do.

Because that's the only section I'm active and noticed the growth of filesonic users.
If one of my files is down please send me a pm and I will reupload it as soon as possible!

I'm not making this shit up. The highest it goes is around 30-40, sometimes 50 if I'm lucky. MU used to be pretty fast for me, but in recent months, it's been like this.
MU is fickle about speeds. I can get 1mb/s but, on random files it drops to 400, or 20 - 120kb/s.

That's right but most of the time MU is a lot faster and more stable than filesonic.

good filehosters are (in my opinion):
    - mirrorcreator.com
    - megaupload.com
    - mediafire.com

    usable filehosters:
    - rapidshare.com

    slow and user unfriendly:
    - filesonic

    unusable:
    - filefactory

iFile is decent, they don't have download limits. I usually get good rates with Fileserve but the 30 minute wait between files is troublesome.

I read somewhere that MU discriminates download speeds based on your region. I don't know if that's true... but I live in america. And I always get 250 to 350 kb/sec out of MU...

    Amen, brother

    Offtopic:
MU and MF all the way, but MU needs the the "enable Premium" in check after configing your account for a slight speedup

Maybe not that much faster, about 50kb-150kb tops, instead of shit , but @ least it's on a free account

My inbox IS NOT A REQUEST BOX , if you want to make requests maybe do it here? Someone w/ working links might help you there (I don't do requests obviously, however, feel free to let me know if a DLC file doesn't work* and needs an update ) *ex:"container error"

How to use DLC files? Use Jdownloader
Still looking for PS2 undubs by any chance? Try searching "PS2 undub project 2.6" @ google, it's hard to miss and you can maybe find most of em in a single search/post .

The ONLY 2 I Like is MediaFire and Megaupload. Filesonic and Fileserve just run me around and make me wait 3 hours between files, Rapidshare makes me wait ages if its a multi part.

Also I Know you lot love your JDownloader but you should all give MiPony a look, it supports dlc files ect ect and may give better speeds for ya I dunno, its a worthy alternative

I've used ifile.it for a while now......always use the remote upload function
They recently extended the time they keep your files (if they haven't been dl'd) which is good.
Totally free filehost (with resume), but I guess not many ppl are interested in using it
