    Question Sound Problems (running ePSXe)

I have xPSXe v1.6.0 on my computer. It's a Windows 7. I got a couple plug-ins downloaded for it to work but I keep running into the problem with the sounds on most of the games that I play.
I got two different FF7 games and both are really distorted for the sounds. For example when I kill something or use magic the sound gets higher pitched then what it normally is. When I play FF8 I don't have to much of a problem until I go to use a Limit Break. When I do that game almost freezes or it takes at least 5 - 10 minutes to load just to use it.
I play Parasite Eve and there isn't to much of a problem so far.
Maybe I'm missing a plug-in or the one I got isn't working right?
    Any idea's would be appreciated.

I'm only new to this so dont know of how much help it will be, but i've seen mentioned that ePSXe has trouble with Dual core processors, a friend of mine suggested that i limit it to using only 1 (which i did) and the iso's i have now work perfectly.

If it doesnt help, sorry in advance

Youtube Tutorial. I followed this tutorial to get the emulator to work.

And I went and checked all the drivers for my computer and they are all coming up as up to date. Then again I also just got my computer not even a month ago really.

Yeah I got a dual core processor in it. Here are the basics of my computer.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
    Toshiba
    Processor: Intel Core i3 2.53GHz
    Ram: 4GB

I dont think its anything to do with your hardware, sounds like you need diff plugins. diff plugins work better for diff games. Just google and DL a few

Well I've searched for different plug-ins and can't find any different ones then the ones mentioned in that video.

But I just checked my games and apparently I have no saved games at all. x.x

What sound plugin are you using? Eternal SPU 1.41 (not lite) is the one recommended for that game.
