Default How to put together Bin+wave files in ISO??

Some PSX downloads have it where its an Bin.ECM and a bunch of .APE audio files.

I've learned how to decompress .ECM into normal stuff, and decompressing .APE audio into regular .WAV.

Now what do i do? I've tried putting all the files through IMGburn and making an ISO, but that never works. I've read the ECM & APE faq thread and see nothing on how to reconstruct a proper ISO.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What i want to do is not PSP related. Anyone looking to burn the game to a disc, and or mount to a virtual drive, would also need to know how to reconstruct a working iso or .img from the files.

If you have wav files you need to burn/mount with a cue file. So if the game didn't come with one you'll have to pay attention to the bits of the ECM And APE Guide mentioning cue files.

Edit: If a game didn't come with a cue you could try and see if the ones Redump hosts work for you.

*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

I already know how to make a perfectly functioning Eboot. However, i can't do it without a proper iso or .img to create it from.

So one can still mount the .img, even with the .bin & .wav files all separate, so long as there is a .cue file?

Ok then i guess i can resort to that kind of trickery to get my iso from. By mounting in daemon tools with .cue and then ripping with imgburn.

    Thanks i'll try that.

Yep, cue files can arrange a bunch of files into something resembling an image. Once you've gotten/built yourself a decent cue and mounted it you can do anything

The best thing to do is get a redump image or Perfect 1.1 Image since they are of the highest quality dumps from the Actual disc and is not a Rip (iso/mp3,iso/wave)

If you would like me to help you find a particular game image i would be more than happy to.

Isn't that where this crap is coming from? I thought MasJ was downloading the "perfect" collections, and that's why the mainsite is littered with these annoying disassembled iso's...

nope, on the EP main site alot of those ECM,APE compressed images are full of errors in the data.
All those came from Non - Redump torrents.

I just tried GaiaSeed myself. It comes with a cue, which seems fine...

I un-ecm'ed the data. I converted the apes to wavs, then changed their extensions to .bin like the included cue has. Then the cue file mounted fine, I can play all the audio off the disc and everything

Edit: Hey, this oldschool shump is pretty good, thanks for making me try it
