Default Tomba 2 background music not looping correctly

Hi, I've noticed that in Tomba 2 when the music for the level I'm on finishes, it doesn't repeat again. Instead, it starts the next level's music. So if I was to stay on the first level long enough, I would be able to hear each level's music once. I've even noticed this issue in other games like the first spyro game. I am also using the original disc, but I've even noticed this problem when playing from an iso of Tomba 2 and spyro.

    My specs are:
    epsxe 1.7
    GPU Plugin : Pete's d3d driver 1.77
SPU Plugin : Eternal SPU plug in 1.50
    CDRom Plugin : SaPu's CD-Rom Plug in 1.3

    As for my PC

CPU : AMD Phenom II x4 965 at 3.4 ghz
GPU : Xfx radeon hd 4890 at stock clocks
Operation system is Windows 7 x64 bit
    Ram 4gb ddr3 (2x2gb sticks)

Have you tried using the ePSXe SPU Core 1.7.0 plugin?
    If not, try doing so.

Yeah, your PC is plenty for ps1 emulation.

The problem is in the configuration of your plugins.

epsxe plugin configuration is more of an art than a science, and i can only point you to possible resources.

There are some threads with similar sound problems here and there.

Just got done trying that, unfortunately the problem still persists.

Thanks, I'll try some of those methods and mess around with different configurations and hope for the best.
