    Exclamation Poor PS2 Frame-Rate

I'm having a pretty annoying frame-rate problem going on in PCSX2. I'll use FFXII as an example.

Whilst FMV cut scenes are playing, the game doesn't lag at all and the frame rate usually exceeds 50. But whilst most non-FMV cut scenes are playing, the emulators frame rate get's below 50 and starts to lag. In battles with tons of animations, the frame rate also gets around 40. Is there any way to keep the frame-rate 50.00+ permanently??

When I say lots of animations, I'm referring to areas with a lot of moving sprites, such as the fight against Vayne Novus. Also, in the final battle it lags the whole way through and in the final few FMV cutscenes it doesn't lag at all.

Ok, since there's no way to necro my thread without double-posting, I have no choice but to double-post.

So could someone reply to this?

1st off you mean poor PCSX2 framerate (cause FPS on a PS2 console is almost always perefect ), but I can see exactly what your prob is. When I boot FMVs for most games I get around 60fps constantly throughout the cutscenes, but gameplay always goes down to like 20-40 fps tops . I think you have to overclock to get around this (having good PC specs and a fast CPU for your plugins is implied), but I'd just mod your PS2 if I were you (assuming you own one). You'd only need to do a sensor mod and install FMCB and you can boot burned discs w/o swapping and play games off your USB via OPL 0.8 (no more tweaking your settings for just one/each game )
My inbox IS NOT A REQUEST BOX , if you want to make requests maybe do it here? Someone w/ working links might help you there (I don't do requests obviously, however, feel free to let me know if a DLC file doesn't work* and needs an update ) *ex:"container error"

How to use DLC files? Use Jdownloader
Still looking for PS2 undubs by any chance? Try searching "PS2 undub project 2.6" @ google, it's hard to miss and you can maybe find most of em in a single search/post .
