    Question FFVII

FFVII NES bootleg doesn't seem to work. The error I get is "Error: Mapper #167 Unsupported". What does this mean?

I downloaded another copy but it also has the same error.

wait...isn't final fantasy VII ya know...a ps1 game?
I'm guessing you're talking about Final fantasy 3?

it might help to post the emulator and what version of the rom you have

No he does mean 7. It is a fan made homebrew game featuring stuff of FF7. I dont know how much of the story has been transferred though.

Maybe its the file extension, did you extract the zip or rar file? Your emulator likely supports zip, but there is a chance that it doesn't support 7zip or rar.

I think it means that the emulator you have doesn't support it, the only advice I can give is to use a different emulator. What one are you using at the moment. There are a few emulators (if memory serves correctly) that supports all the mappers. I think Nestopia is one of them.

EDIT: Just checking and I don't think nestopia supports all of them, but a lot of them (201) so it might be a good option to go for.

Yeah its called FFVII: the dark cloud. Its and rpgmaker 2k game...id reccomend just downloading it as a stand alone game and play it that way. Although you have to have the rpgmaker2k software to play it. Itll save you alot of time and aggrivation

Hey, I'm using the JNes. Yeah, your probably right that it's not supported on Jnes, but do you know if there are any NES emulators that support all the NES roms on the website?

Yes, there is a FFVII for the NES. I wasn't n00b enough to think it was an NES game and not Playstation. XD
