Various games to race with my sister. We played Frogger, Croc, and Dissidia 012 and we won't stop there!
Layin down enjoying the fun unleashing the power of the sun and capturing them all until I'm done.

    Machinarium (Vita)

I've beaten it on PS3 before, but wanted to play through it again. It's amazing how much I've forgotten about the puzzles. Currently stuck trying to find an extra light bulb somewhere.

Playing the VN We Love Master, quite enjoyable
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

We really need to make a VN thread, because the nerdy semantic pedant in me is really bothered by people saying they played something that's just words and pictures.

Now, if you meant you played with YOURSELF while reading it, that's a different matter!

If there were more than just 2-3 people on EP reading VNs I'd agree, but right now there's no point. There are VNs with gameplay, though. Like Baldr Sky, or Ikusa Megami, and tons of others.

I was being facetious, but I know there are some that are real games. I still have to play Eien no Aselia, Tears to Tiara and Utawarerumono sometime.

    Skip it, it's bad.

    It's okay.

And I actually kinda liked it.

    In that order.

What didn't you like about Eien no Aselia?
It actually appealed to me a bit more because I hear it's very strategically demanding (unlike tactics games, strategy titles usually skimp on story), and the battles remind me of Valkyrie Profile.

There's less strategy involved than either of the other games listed (which is weird as you'd think the strategy game would outpace the tactical ones) and the plot really didn't deliver on anything the premise tried to set up.

Hear the sequel is a lot better but I've got no desire to play it anytime soon.

It's a bad story tied to a fairly simple strategy game where you just throw your mages at every problem.

Aw crap. I was hoping it was a matter of personal preference against strategy games or something. That sounds like an objective criticism. And that was one of the first Japanese games recommended to me too.
Oh well, it's not like I don't have another 200 gigs worth of Japanese games to get through. Just don't tell me First Queen or Black Matrix suck!
