Default SD Gundam G Generation Wars

I've recently entered the PS2 emulation scene, not that I have a semi-capable PC. My current specs are:

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+
    nVidia 9800GT
    3GB DDR2 Ram
Random $30 Best Buy sound card

Now out of those specs I assumed I could emulate some basic PS2 games such as the one mentioned in the title. Its similar to many Super Robot Wars games so I thought it would be simple to emulate. With my current PCSX2 settings I can get the menus to run at 60FPS easy, I can get the battles to run at 60FPS as well. However on the Battlefield itself (Where units are selected) there's a huge drop in frames, usually to 68% speed or less. I'm wondering why exactly that may be, I would have thought something like that would occur during the battle and not on the field. Any suggestions? Any possible configurations that may help?

im assuming that you use PCSX2? if so what version and what are your current configurations, also how how big is the memory on your graphics card? 256mb, 512mb etc that has an impact on it, you can find that out by running dxdiag from the run command or by searching on windows 7

Processor: AMD FX 8350 Processor (8 CPUs), ~4.1GHz

    Speed Hacks

    Advanced

Phew. OK as far as Video RAM goes its a 1GB by nature. However websites like "Canyourunit.com" say I have 2GB or more at times. So I'd assume its 1GB that the machine itself is using.

right are you using the latest beta? if not download that and then test out using the same specs also try it without the speed hacks that may help
