In this guide, i will explain how to use kaillera in ePSXe.
For those who are unaware of what kaillera does, well kaillera basically enables emulators to play online, where you can battle/play co-op games with your friends.
If anyone is having trouble starting ePSXe, download zlib1.zip and extract it to your ePSXe folder.
Warning!!!
Before playing make sure both of you have the same game version, For example Gran Turismo 2 has a v1.0 and v1.1 which wont work together. And you must have the same game region, for example, if one has a PAL version of Gran Turismo 2 and the other has a NTSC version, it wont work. Also don't expect it to work if one has a german version of the game, and the other has a french version of the game.
And you must have the same version of the emulator.
You have been warned!
Open the file with winrar or whatever extracting method you use, and extract cpka.dll to the plugins folder, and extract kailleraclient.dll to the ePSXe folder.
Step 3:
Open ePSXe, go to Config--Netplay and select Cyberpad 1.4.
Step 4:
Next go to file-run iso and pick the game you want to use.
Step 5:
Type username, and after it finishes searching the servers, select the server of choice.
Step 6:
Join the game you have chosen, by double clicking on the game, or you can create a game by clicking Create new game.
Step 7:
Play!
Tips:
-Dont join servers/play with people that have more than 100 ping, the game might desync.
-If you are experiencing desync, even if the person has below 100 ping, you can try disabling sound. Plugin in attachments.
-If you still are having trouble, then download the cpka.dll in the attachments, and extract it to your plugins folder.
-The kaillera master server also tends to crash sometimes, or kaillera might refuse to ping the servers. In that case, you could try to exit the emulator and try again, or you could wait for a while.
-Also, running the emulator with administrator privileges could also solve the problem.
If anyone has doubts or suggestions send me a PM.
