epsxe 1.7.0 wont change discs

Hey guys i am tring to play some mgs1 n i just made it to disc 2, i am using a bin file from this website for both disc 1 & 2 and when i go to change disc then select iso then select disc 2 it just sits there on the screen telling me to insert disc 2, any idea's on why?

1.70 is known for that problem. as far as i know theres no other solution but to use an older version like 1.60.

Actually, there's a way to use that feature in the 1.70 version.
Taken from our PSX FAQ (to be re-posted soon) and quoting Zorlon:

if it was working in 1.7.0 the way to get disc changing working is to mount the cd image with daemon tools and never use oped cd image instead use run cdrom, you do need to config the cd plugin to read the correct drive though

the above will get disc changing in 1.7.0 working just fine but you can't for example start a game with run cd image then go to change disc and the use cdrom, it just wont work you need to boot up using run cdrom with the disc image mounted in daemon tools, then when the game asks for the next disc just hit esc then hit change discs, then in daemon tools mount the disc image the game asked for, then back on ePSXe 1.7.0 hit ok to continue the game and then the game will load that disc just fine
