Default What was your favorite console of the last generation?

    Out of these choices:

    Sony Playstation 2
Sega Dreamcast (I've known people who disagree, and say that the DC was part of the N64/PS1 era. Though, I highly doubt it was meant to compete with those consoles)
    Nintendo Gamecube
    Microsoft X-Box

For me, I guess it would be the PS2. I loved it, and had SO many great games. It had it's obvious flops, like any console, but I'm also bias towards the PS1/PS2 consoles. I also loved, and still love, the Gamecube. I acually still play several of it's games on my Wii, while I haven't touched a PS2 game in ages. I had tons of fun with the DC, but....it, never really measured up to the PS2 and GC at the end of the day.

How about y'all? What was your favorite console of the last generation?

I'm a heavy proponent of "the PS2 was the greatest console ever" line of thought. So, yeah. My response is obvious to anyone that has seen some of my posts.

I voted for the Gamecube, but only because out of all of those consoles, the Gamecube was the only one that I've ever owned and played. So... yeah.

Gonna go with the PS2. Its library is just insanely good. Remember that huge backlog I keep talking about in my posts? Yeah, that's all thanks to the PS2.

Ps2, because I haven't played the other ones yet. I liked the game selection a lot, and found them just to be engaging and interesting. Plus, I liked the backwards compatibility it offered with the Ps1.

You're correct in labeling the DC as part of that generation. Saturn, PS1, and N64 were the ones competing against each other before. It just seems odd because the Dreamcast was early, early, early 6th gen. Although you missed GBA, according to GameFAQ's list.

It was technically, but the DCs life was basically over before half of those consoles were even released. It's like including the SegaCD in 5th gen polls.

Hey, the Sega CD was awesome. It had, like... Ecco the Dolphin. Again.

It actually had a lot of good games on it (and not just ports). But it suffered from the equipment itself being an overpriced, badly marketed piece of shit that somehow slunk through quality control in one piece.

True enough, also I remember that version of Eternal Champions to be pretty good
