And even the red card is wrong if you consider it all started with a foul by Busquets on Navas

    missed foul on Navas->missed Messi's offside->foul out of the area awarded->penalty wrongly awarded->red card->penalty kick scored->numerical inferiority for 40 minutes->forced substitution->suspensions (Demichelis, Pellegrini)

You really think that's just being unlucky? I call it double standard
Eh, most of the Swedish journos etc (read: all of the few ones that I read/listen to) don't care about Swedes/the teams they support/etc being wrong/doing wrong/getting favors from the ref and such. He could've given a fould on Navas, but I did think it looked like a dive (just re-watched it, still does to me and no one complained about it either but, eh). As far as the offside deal goes I just assumed Kompany was too far back, but no one ever seemed interested in showing a proper replay so, yeah.

With that said, I realize we won't get any further on this, no matter how you see it Barcelona were lucky with the calls (as I would call it, but one COULD say something other than "lucky", if one would want to :wacko ), no matter what was objectively right and wrong. Don't get me wrong, I want Barcelona to fail as much as, well, not you, but you know. I just wasn't overly offended by that game.

Besides, City's shit at these there cups anyways. Well, not the League Cup, but EH HE HE HE PRESSURE ON ARSENAL.

So today was international friendly day.

    Mexico = woof

Was underwhelmed with the selection for Germany and how the game went in general. Kinda getting worried even if it was just a friendly as Germany has a tough group.

Saw France won 2-0 but I don't know enough about the Dutchies to know how close their selections were to an A squad. Still interesting since I irrationally have France doing well in this WC.

Brazil just kinda did their thing all over RSA.

US played like crap and I doubt Gooch will ever play another game in the rw&b that actually means anything.

And all out of comments now.
Gervinho'll score a hat trick on tuesday. Wait, we DID WHAT!?

    Good comments though!

    Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.
He's got black hair, and he's german.
    Michael Ballack, trains in paddocks.
in his spare time, HE FARMS HADDOCKS!
Watch me play Super C, guys!!

I do think it would be a bit more sporting if Arsenal somehow scored the first goal.

Now back to what is really important (Germany). The talent is there, including stupid depth in some areas (midfield), the problem seems to be finding the "right XI" or some other nonsense. I know Lahm likes playing in MF or w/e but I think he is needed in defense against the absolute top teams (Spain, Brazil).

I've thought about this a lot. If it were me (lol) I'd roll this out there.

    G Neuer
    D Lahm, Hummels, Boateng, Jansen
MF: Schürrle, Basti, Kroos (mainly for terrible Kroos control, Kroos missle jokes etc...but also because he's a good player and I don't like Özil's mental make-up among other things)
    Wing: Müller, Götze
    Striker: Gómez

Key Reserves: Reus, Podolski and Özil all offer different attacking options and could be needed. Khedira offers a good MF option when protecting a lead. Defense I would really never change unless there were card or injury issues.

Clearly though the German coaches don't see some of these players in the roles I do though, and I doubt this line-up ever happens. Main thing is this puts 4 attacking players on the field (Schürrle, Müller, Götze, Gómez) and would be a headache to defend. Plus Basti and Kroos are capable enough on offense as well.

Escaped today thanks to United's shoddy defense.

Cookie how crazy would Madrid be if we got a Madrid derby final in the champs league?

Would be crazier if Madrid and Barça were in the final... buuut, I don't think that's possible now

Man, it's really hard to win a match without being favoured with penalty kicks and without the rivals being sent off

Definitely, Figo did a great job in the draw

When Evra scored that belter I actually sort of wanted United to win. That's a new feeling. Would've been so silly though, and that's always fun.

Well... Webb did chose not to give a penalty after Mascherano opted to mow down an Atletico Plater (Villa? I can't be arsed to look up who it was :< ).

Edit: Oh, oh, oh. Are you guys also nervous wrecks, waiting for tomorrow? I have this distinct feeling that them Gunners are going from really, really, really, really bad to just a wee bit worse.

Should have said that they were favoured again but it wasn't decisive this time around.

In dubio pro reo Barça. It never gets old

I'm immune to such feeling They'll improve.

EDIT: Madrid - Bayern; Atlético - Chelsea :O

What I like about this year's semifinals is that it really couldn't be a boring draw. Now, I would've preferred Bayern - Chelsea but whatever.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GUYS, I HEAR ARSENAL MADE IT TO THE FINALS. ^______________________________^

Good ol' Källström. Signing of the year etc.

    Thankies

As for Cruyff It's always the same song, Laporta, Guardiola and him are always kissing each other's asses... they rarely say anything relevant.

I scared Gurl when I was screaming Per's name in the 82th or whenever. I was cool for the pens though, but them missing the first two sort of helped. Also, Carson is an idiot.

Might be more parties in Madrid soon. But you guys probably should've scored atleast another, yeah.
