I pretty much root against English teams* in Europe on principle because while I like the English Premiership and a lot of the clubs in it, I like even more to see smug, blinkered pundits here who only care about the "best league in the world" be forced to actually look outside of the English Premiership bubble and realise that not every European team outside of Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid is some third string side who would struggle against Crystal Palace or Hull. So as much as I actually like the current Chelsea team, I can't not laugh.

*except Arsenal, who the English media barely seem to regard as an English team at all, and who they are always taking a doom and gloom attitude to even when they're doing well. :'D

Tsk, we used to field Carl Jenkinson sometimes. And there's a real shortage of frenchies nowadays, methinks. Not counting Akpom and Hayden, we have more Englishmen than Frenchmen in the first team squad (and I counted Diaby, mind you).

They've relaxed way too much. The problem is the physical preparation they've received to be in the best shape possible in April-May, where the titles are supposed to be decided. They may be great then but seeing how terrible they've performed in Jan-Feb, big chances are there won't be any title to dispute in the coming weeks
Anyway, we've been terrible without Modric and James, that has been very unfortunate because Isco retains the ball too much, slowing everything which makes no good to the whole attacking system that relies on fast players that need some field to run and counterattack.
