My PS2 doesnt run some CD

I tried running Staff of Kings on PS2 and after that, it goes to the memory card menu. What is the Problem?

+ Is your PS2 modded, if so how? Modchip, Swap Magic, FMCB, etc.
+ How did you burn the game, write speed, burning software, CD type
+ Is your PS2 able to read original CD-ROM based PS2 games (PS2 lasers fail a lot.)

My PS2 stops reading it even I insert the disc! I have ps2 PAL SCPH 77004, second-hand, modded.
It only reads the ones with the J.W Games logo (UG-XXXX) and the PS2 CD-ROM can read on it.

i was haveing the same problem with my silent hill copy...when i burned with one old cdwriter...it just workeed!
