I'm glad u had the oportunity to have a speech there.
Back in my time, over here, we just gone our ways... anyway... even if I could have one... I would have nothing to say.
Unfortunately, high school itself didn't change the course of my life. Brazil's education, worst ever.

984,877.. Is the education system that bad?

Ouch J. Really? Not one person spoke at your graduation?
That's disheartening.
"I am... Sheik. One of the last of the Sheikah tribe..."
984,875...I'm sorry J-sime.
984874
Will say, all people who graduated HS deserve praise.
*Gives J-Sime a virtual pat on back*

Yep. The PUBLIC education is horrible till high school... from university onwards PRIVATE education is horrible.
But... to be able to study in a public university, you need to know what almost only those who had a private education learned.
When I finished high school, I didn't know anything... I was dumb as a rock. But I had the oportunity, thanks to my parents, to study in private for one year after finishing high school, so that I could learn some and now I'm on a good university.
I have some documentaries here in which you can see the difference of children from country to country... when u see Brazil's children, hahahaha, they're 16 with minds of 6.
That's sad. Even more... here, if u wanna be a teacher, u r the disappointment of ur family, it is considered a career with no future...

There is no logic... I know... all I can say is... it's Brazil.
People lost... "faith" in these last decades.
The last dictatorship wanted to make people animals. They're forbidden the schools to teach philosophy and sociology, as example.
When it ended people here wanted freedom, but there was too much freedom and control was lost. With children being raised without being able to... "think", we got this.
Parents don't care about the study of their children, children don't wanna learn... government's policy is to pretend everything is alright.
Things are changing a bit lately, but actually, education here is in a horrible situation.
Oh... and why being a teacher seems so bad here?
Too many children for 1 person to teach. The payments are lowwwwwwwww... on the ground. You need to teach from beginning of morning to end of evening everyday to earn about US$1.000,00 in a month. Children are agressive and don't wanna learn... you have to force them...
It is so hard. There are some good policys for education here... but nobody care about them

984,870...I agree with Sword. Teaching is a noble profession, you're shaping the future. I have A LOT of respect for teachers, they put up with a lot of bs. I don't get why education isn't taken more seriously. I don't understand how we can compete with Japan or China if we fall behind education wise.
Gosh, the situation is deep over there.
We live more comfortably over here, I kinda wish there was more of an incentive, but I know no snap of someone's fingers will save the situation.
I dont know what to say

984,967...Wow.I didn't realize how bad it is in Brazil.
