    - As for games genre it was either adventure (more probably) and beat'em up (less probably) set in 2D environments [it was more probably 2D side-scrolling game (just like Ninja Gaiden) than 2,5D isometric view game (just like Double Dragon)].
    - As for gameplay I remember only two events (probably in the begining of the game). First included climbing/crossing on the line (from left to right just like sometimes in God of War)
during snow-flurry (actually snow can be only my imagination). Second refers to boss (or sub-boss) fight with witch (or some kind sorceress or phantom/spectre) set probably in 2,5D isometric view (again I'm not quite sure, it was 2D or 2,5D game). This enemy can be first boss/sub-boss in the game.
    - In the end I left most significant element of the gameplay. After beating of the boss there was possibility to make a choice between two items/tonics/case-bottles/elixirs (or there was only one item). If player made a right choice get some kind of power-up (e.g. renew his life-bar). If player had a bad luck lost some HP or even entire life.

That's all I remember (I saw this game almost 15 years ago so all this information and memories are guite faded nowadays).
Thanks in advance for any kind of help.

It sounds a bit like Shapeshifter on the Turbo Duo but that would not be a Sega System... Could it be one of the Rastan Saga games?

    Default Some PlayStation One game

I've searched for this.. I used to have the game, yet someone left it in the floor, stepped on, broke to never play again. But it was something LIKE Digimon, it had the characters.. I think. But what you would do, was you were on a biiig looong platform, and you had to jump from point A to point B. But as you progress, there were more holes, mines, bounce left/right/back/forwards.. There was a heart system, like Zelda, land on some spaces, you get hearts, others take them away. It's really the best I can explain. One of the main characters was a yellow thing, with a big head, one big eye, and a tail that he bounced on. No arms or anything.. There were also some other characters, don't remember any details except a big rock-titan resembling dude. If anyone could please help me in figuring out the name for it, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Status: Solved, it was Monster Rancher Hop-A-Bout.

    Incorrect guesses: Azure Dreams

Nope.. :\ More of a no enemies kind of thing. Just you need to get across the platform, and not die.

I remember a game I rented a LONG time ago, I can't remember whether it was on PS1 or N64 but, the MC was a little kid with blue hair and kind of looked like a clown. And no, it's not BOFIII. Any thoughts? :/

    System: PSX
Monsters: As far I can remember there was this big worm monster and something like those half-life zombies.
Characters: You could play as a woman or a man. They were starting at different locations. I remember the woman starting in a elevator and man in some sewer or something.
Quests/Missions etc.: I remember one where you had to escort someone to another room and there were some flying creatures attacking I think that man was a scientist or something.

I remember several fighters were like these skeleton things with different palette swaps. I am pretty sure this game was 16 bit or greater as I remember thinking it looked cool...but then again I thought the Turbo Due Addams family game looked cool. I have no idea how to even begin looking. I have been all over youtube and watched every episode of Gamepro TV I could find. I want to say it was on a system that was a commercial failure but I could be mistaken. And there is a good chance it may be terrible, but I have wanted to play it since I saw it on TV.

Well, parts of what you said made me think Killer Instinct (doesn't that dino thingie have a fart attack? Or did I imagine this?), but it doesn't sound all right.

    Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.
He's got black hair, and he's german.
    Michael Ballack, trains in paddocks.
in his spare time, HE FARMS HADDOCKS!
Watch me play Super C, guys!!

Here's one more lol. It was a ps2 game called something like 'Gate sumthin'..it had something to do with 'Magic' I think. There were 4 selectable characters for story mode. A wizard guy that looked lke a vampire, A monk girl which fought with swft kicks, a knight with a longsword and a bearded dude with an axe. Throughout the game's levels you would encounter 'mini-bosses' who's hp would be displayed at the bottom of the screen with a red gauge. The story mode was also two-player but you could have had ten players and it still wouldnt have been enough to defeat the last boss >.<. One of the levels was called 'The Labyrinth of Antiquity' I think. It involved a series of gradually appearing and disappearing blue platforms on which you would fight various monsters from the game. At the end of the level leading up to the impossible last Boss-fight you would have to fight against the game's bosses once more before being annihilated by the last dude. A 'vs.' mode was also available in which two players could square off against each other in a head to head duel. Various monsters could also be selected in this mode once unlocked but since I wasn't able to finish this game on the normal difficulty even once I had nothing unlocked except for the 4 main characters. ... I'd like to try an complete it once more....now that I'm older and smarter >.<.....I'll be sure to edit this with anything else I can remember. Thanx and hope we find out the title.

I checked both of them but the one I'm thinking of is much less complex and somewhat more limited. Character creation was also disabled and weapon changing too. One of the mini bosses was fought in a plaza with a large circular fountain in the centre and the monster resembled a minotaur. Ehmmm, each chapter's beginning and ending was narrated by the typical 'deep-voice' guy and on the easy difficulty on a certain number of levels could be played. At the beginning of a new chapter you could select your 'path' on some sort of 'world map' what else?....
I appreciate all the help with this ...

That last game mentioned sounded more like D&D Heroes aside from the mention of "Gate" in the name. Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance has three playable characters and Dark Alliance 2 has 5. the first one has no rogue and the second one has no knight. D&D Heroes has pretty much everything mentioned. Look up a vid or something. May be what you're looking for and if not, you'll more than likely enjoy it.

[edit] It may be worth looking into champions of norrath or champions return to arms as well although there are no playable dwarves. I've be pondering this a bit. baldurs gate has no such minotaur in any plaza. there IS a fountain but all that's at the center is a raised platform where a statue would be that you can stand on. there is a problem with D&D Heroes. while it most closely fits your description, I think it may have been xbox only (correct me if I'm wrong) because I owned it for xbox and haven't seen a ps2 version. based on the character lineup, there is a possibility it could be a game called Demon Stone. It has a rogue, wizard, knight (and another char i can't remember lol) but you don't play as one of them. you start as the knight and when you meet the others through story mode you can switch between them anytime during play with the dpad.

[edit] forget anything we're suggested about this so far and go check out Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. The game was killer, at time brutally hard, the bosses were a challenge and there were more unlockable characters than I've seen in any other game. You could choose from a warrior, wizard, valkyrie, and a couople of others from the start and after you unlocked them you could play as a minotaur, medusa... there was even a way of playing as a japanese school girl. It was the forefather to many games like champions and dark alliance but instead of finding tons of weapons and armor you had a single weapon that you could throw infinitely (some characters weapons grew bigger every 10 levels).

Whatever the case, I wish you luck. You sound like my kind of gamer with a memory much like mine as well lol I jumped to this thread to post a question of my own (that's been nagging at me for the past 20 years). The only things I can remember are that it was for NES you start off on a cliffside and work your way towards the left and eventually up the mountain while killing giant frogs and annoying birds that swoop down at you. I was suggested to check out Ironsword by a bunch of people but it wasn't close to it. This game had a character with a sword with long hair and no suit of armor (the main character didn't move like he had a worm in his rear end either). I'm temped to go to the NES section and try each rom until I find it. I've tried it on psp with no luck. So basically, I hope you have better luck than me. It's annoying to lose touch with games that rocked so much.
