finished Towers of Midnight the 13th book of the wheel of time. Not as good as the last one but at least things are getting cleared up. I was disappointed at quite a few things but wowed on others. Dunno, not bad but it seemed that there was too much filler in this one. Almost can't wait until this damned series ends.

This should be stickied? I think the old one was, can't remember.

I'm gonna assume that graphic novels are cool here....

    JLA: Hypothetical Woman

OMG ITS SADAM AS A COMIC BOOK VILAN THIS IS SO DEEP. That aside, it was okay but not even near Grant Morrison's run, plus the art was kinda weak.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol 1-2

Alan Moore is a fucking genius. Except the old person sex. That was kinda gross.

    Freak: Book 1

Neat concept, having the hero turn people demon to fight, but looks kinda emo.

The Stand: Captain Trips and American Nightmares

Randall Flagg is a creepy bastard and the art is absolutely amazing.

    Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl?

Great dialog and some funny satire and parody.

Filler, in a book? Reading Scions of Shannara for a second time, I'm going to start on Sandstorm (Forgotten Realms) as soon as it arrives in the mail.

Can't wait until I start getting into the newer books. I'm currently rereading A Crown of Thorns (book 7) in an attempt to catch up.

well yeah, just some stuff in it that was totally unnecessary. Seemed like the new guy writing it was just trying to fill a few hundred pages with nothingness. Scions is good, loved that series.

Crown of Swords. Book 12 is amazing, they really start clearing and cleaning stuff up. the couple of books before that just seemed to drone on with only a couple of major developments. Which seems to happen with 13 as well.

    Deadpool: Suicide Kings

Now this is why I like Deadpool. The scene where Spidey and Deadpool start quiping off each other was just brilliant, I don't think any human being could take that much.

Better finish those two Dark Tower trades now.

I have simple needs when it comes to fantasy, I'm sure I'll enjoy it . I need to start on the second book in the Voyage of Jerle Shannara but I'm being lazy about it. Before I started on Voyage I was really hoping it would be set during that period with Jerle but, the first book was still a good read. I'll probably start on High Druid after I finish the Voyage books.

Fuck. The sad part is, I referred to the book title to check to see if it was "The" or "A," but never thought to check to see what the rest of the title actually was.

Agreed, though; very good book. I really enjoyed the series once it got to the mid books (Lord of Chaos to Winter's Heart), but I haven't read most of the newer ones (I can't remember if I've read Crossroads of Twilight or not. I recognize the cover, but can't think of anything that happens in it). My only complaint is that there isn't nearly enough Perrin in the mid books, who is by far my favorite character.

That will change, Perrin will pop up again for major wolf funtimes.
