This Simple Guide Will install Free Memory Card Boot 1.7 (latest version)


IF using the SWAPMAGIC

1. Drop the whole SWAPMAGIC folder from the "FOR USB STICK" archive below into your USB STICK

2. simply use SWAPMAGIC to boot your ps2 with the usb stick already plugged in, and a ps2 memory card
which the FMCB 1.7 exploit will be installed. (select format MC, then Multi version install)

3. ENJOY, playing games off your hard drive, playing backups of dvd-r media, playing ps1 games, +more.


IF using a MODCHIP

1. Drop the whole SWAPMAGIC folder from the "FOR USB STICK" archive below into your USB STICK

2. Burn "uLE v4.12 CD" to a CD, use "imgburn" (google, imgburn great free burning software).

3. Now run the CD u just made, don't forget to put your USB STICK in the ps2.

4. Select the SWAPMAGIC folder, now select SWAPMAGIC.ELF (FMCB install will appear now select format MC, then Multi version install)

5. ENJOY.


IF UPGRADING FROM FMCB 1.5, U INSTALLED FROM MY PREVIOUS GUIDE.

1. simply get into ulaunch.elf, transfer all your game saves to your usb stick

2. put the "FOR USB STICK" folder called SWAPMAGIC into a USB STICK

3. select SWAPMAGIC.ELF from the ulaunch.elf menu your already in.(select format MC, then Multi version install)

4. ENJOY THE FMCB 1.7 UPDATE, AWESOME.

BOOT.ELF (uLaunchELF, HOLD R1 at boot to launch it) ulaunchelf 4.30 used
ESR.ELF (HOLD R2 at boot to launch it) esr beta r9b used
HDLOADER.ELF (HOLD L1 at boot to launch it) hdloader 0.8c used
SMS.ELF (HOLD L2 at boot to launch it) SMS Version 2.8 (Rev.6) used
Press Start to run FMCB Configurator (HOLD start at boot to launch it)

to play ps1 originals or ps2 originals, after your in the main menu put the game in and it'll boot.
to play backups of ps1 use "psxlauncher" (only for v9 and up), and swap original ps1 for backup.
to play backups of DVD5 GAMES, use the ESR option from the main menu make sure the game is ESR PATCHED.

[ If anyone has the file Free_McBootv1.7.rar, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I'll have to come back to this to reupload it if I ever manage to track it down. ]
