    Default Neogeoragex Problem.

I installed the emulator and updated it. Now, whenever I load up a rom, I get this:

Even though I've made sure scanlines are disabled in the video options, I still get them. Can someone help?

Games run fine and all, but the scanlines annoy the hell out of me.

I also have Kawaks, but it won't detect any of the NeoGeo roms I have for RageX. I don't get why it won't work properly. On my old PC, it ran just fine, and the OS was XP Pro also. I'll try F6...

F6 toggles between enabled, disabled, and 50%. Disabled doesn't mean much, since it might as well just server as a second enable option.

Uh, not sure. I took the .zipped bios, placed it in the regular directory, placed a random rom (aof3) in the NeoGeo roms folder, but it didn't detect the rom at all. I named it neogeo.zip, nothing. Same with naming it neo-geo.zip.

    Nope. It has four files:

    neo-geo.rom
    ng-lo.rom
    ng-sfix.rom
    ng-sm1.rom

What's the name of the rom? I ask because I turned this up while digging around:

If you're using old neorage roms (names like N2105465.078) you may need to
    convert them with Redump.
edit: This is for Kawaks by the way.

    Mikey, use this BIOS:
    http://www.zshare.net/download/9100187f24900b/

Most NeoRageX roms won't work with other emulators unless you alter the roms using certain patches and certain tools.

Just for testing purposes: aof3.zip and blazstar.zip.

I downloaded these RageX roms from EP's FTP, so basically, over 1 gig of roms won't run on Kawak? The new bios you linked me to made no difference. =\ It's actually a little smaller in size to the one I had originally. I saw through some YouTube video some bios that was 1MB in size that did work for Kawaks. But I can't find it.

And now I've read something about needing to use something called a universal neogeo bios? More shit to deal with.

The BIOS I gave you works.

You need to get the correct roms.

Kawaks uses the same roms as MAME, so download them from here:

All right, I'll download a rom from there and try. =\

Edit: Oh wow, it worked! Thanks Segnin.

    Aero Fighters 2 / Sonic Wings 2
    Aero Fighters 3 / Sonic Wings 3

Those two games are protected, and they were also the ones I wanted badly.

They mistakenly protected them because those games have Sonic in their names

    Find them here:

    Mame picked up certain games.

I think I'll just use Kawaks for my fightin' games, and Mame for everything else. Thanks a lot Segnin.
