Help? DS Lite carts/cards: SuperKey? M3? WTF?!

I'm thinking of buying a DS Lite soon, and I was reading a few threads on here about playing DS and GBA roms on one with special carts or cards. I'm confused as to which one I should look into, since I'd like to play both GBA and DS games on mine, so which one should I go with? And what do I need? And where should I buy them? (I'm in New Mexico). I once had a cart for the GBA SP that I could put roms on and play (called a Linker-something-or-another), but I returned it because the save battery was dead. I also have modded PSPs, PS2s and PSOnes, though this is all new to me. I just want this to be as painless as possible. Any suggestions?

also if you get a flash cart, get 1 that is memory card compatible not built in memory.

most use sd or micro sd. the built in ones only go up to 8 gigs. the sdhc ones more like 32 gigs, it depends on what size memory card you buy seperatly. look for R4 m3 and Supercard names.

if you buy a memory card try kingston from www.buy.com use their google discount as many times you want (each time make a different gmail addy), you can get 1 or 2 gigs for less that $10.

if you want to play gba on the ds you will need a slot 2 device. the best one i've seen is the ez flash v slot 2 card.

As far as I know, the Passcard 3 is required to use Slot 2 cards.

This is what you're talking about, right? Would this work with a third-party SD card? And I can't tell if it has GBA support....

link 1 - use this to load ds roms from a flash cart originally for gba. dont go this route if you dont already have a gba flasher you're happy with.

link 2 - crap, don't buy it. get 1 where you can expand the flash memory.

As far as I heard, the EZ Flash V 3-in-1 Expansion combined with an R4 or M3 Simply/Lite is a damn good combination.

from what i've read that is perfect if you have the wallet.

but... the only card that supports save states in ds games is the supercard iirc, unless there has been news in the last 2 months.
