Default Leonardo DiCaprio to make live-action akira

    http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/za...,7969479.story

Apparently they are going for a "two-film epic"

I personally don't think that this would work well at all, awful idea.

The setting of the new version will reportedly be shifted to "Neo-Manhattan," a futuristic New York City that's been rebuilt with Japanese money.
Of course it would be so. I really can't see this ending well.

    Great trailer music. Suspenseful.

On topic: Not gonna work, can't do anything but botch it. If they were going to make the film, why not use say... um I don't know Japanese actors? It'll be another "The Last Samurai." Tom Cruise are you kidding me?

Here's something, why not get a live-action Dragonball Z movie in production?

It's being made on Toluca and Durango actually.

So yeah, back in topic, I stopped reading on the "Neo-Manhattan" part.
