    Default Amazing replay value?

My friend and I were talking about games with good replay value and I was wondering what all of you dudes' thoughts on the subject were.

We concluded that the game(s) with the best replay vaue would have to be one of the Metal Gear Solid games. I can't pick one being as all of them are great.

I played MGS1 through twice times just for the unlockables, the others just once. I beat it, got the bandanna, then I let my little bro play to get the camo and tux, then I played through one last time

Played FFVII twice.... GTA:VC 3 times.... I donnu, I'm going to give this award to Guitar Hero I guess.

Mass Effect looks like it might take that award for me.

Just finished the first play-through. Lookin' forward to the next, though haven't decided how I will play it yet.

But as for games I have already gotten the replay value out of. Civilization III, most likely.

The Elder Scrolls games have an insane amount of replay value.

All fire emblems games, to get the characters you missed. We're talking atleast 3 playthroughs for FEVII.

So, um, are we counting different paths and endings? Der Langrisser, Vanguard Bandits, Dynasty Warriors *, Dynasty Tactics.

Oh, the winner is Romance of the Three kingdoms. Yeah.

Gran Turismo is one of these games. I don't know if you can count it as replay value or just the fact that there is SO FREAKING MUCH to do that it takes you hundreds of hours to beat a game.

I can agree with you on MGS and Oblvion.

I guess that I would also like to add FFVIII and pretty much any Pokemon, especially Blue and Silver.

I'm not sure why I care.. but..

erm, can anyone think of RPGs with good replay value? All I've got is Suikoden, and that's only because you tend (playing without a FAQ it'll happen every time, but I know I had a good shot when playing SIII and V so I consulted a FAQ near the end..) to miss out on getting the best endings.

Yeah I saw this and thought of the Suikoden series, but even those are limited due to their lineararity.

I've started playing FFVII loads of times, but only completed it thrice (nostagia generally lasts until disc 2). I cant say I've replayed Oblivion but it ate a huge chunk of my life first time around, I'd certainly be prepared to do it again though - because of its open-ended structure it would feel fresher than a game less linear.

I think my attention span is too short for this thread, as I cant think of any one game that I've sat and played through again and again, and again.
    Touch my twat.

another game that just came to mind is Smash Bros. Melee

you dont really beat it per say -- but even after my friends and i get sick of it, 2 months later we can just pick it up again and put tons of hours into it.

Replay value?? Yeah, just about any RPG: Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Tales of..., ElderScrolls, WoW.

I can play sonic for a loooooooooooong time but not really REplay it for long. (chao garden)
I guess Shadow the Hedgehog had lots of Replay Value, just not much actual game value. Even I admit that Shadow sucks huge hedgehog dick.

Twisted metal had some good replay to it.
Gran Turismo/Forza just got old after a while (as racing games tend to).
If u like playing mods then doom, quake, ut, and other moddable games can be played over and over again.
