I remembering seeing it a long time ago, about a kid that got a hold of this game, and like some group is after them, cause somehow the game contains some valuable infromation, and upon lookign for the kids that got the game, the group of people kill innocenent people just to get that game.

any ideas?

It's probably Cloak and Dagger. I had to do a search for the name 'cause it's been years since I've seen it, but it seemed to ring a bell once I found it.

Nah, that's not it... Jumanji didn't really contain any valuable info in the game, and didn't (as far as I can remember) have any innocents get killed in the movie.

Just looked at the movie Cyberxion suggested (for some reason I thought Mercury Rising at first, but after reading the plot, I realized that it wasn't it.), and it seems to be the closest thing to what he's looking for (that's been suggested so far).

Now if it wasn't kids that got the game, I'd almost think it was Enemy of the State, but that movie isn't that old....

I REMEMBER IT TOO!,I even have the rom of the game,the kid was obsessed with spies and had an "imaginary friend" that was a spy/hero,and had a nerd friend that was playing atari and testing the cartridge discovered some important secret,(the thing the bad guys were after). I didn't remember the name but I checked the link and IT IS CLOAK AND DAGGER,(the mame rom's name of the game is "cloak.zip" by the way). haha,I'll write it down before I forget about it again. (there are some 80s movies that are "classic" if you watched them when you were a kid,this is one of those,at least in my list.
anybody remember "gotcha" and "can't buy me love"?)

no,"can't buy me love" uses the song as the main theme,but it's not made by or about the beatles (by the way,I'm a big fan of them!).
the movie is a by-the-book high school movie about a nerd/loser that likes the most popular girl. he manages to date with her and in the process, he becomes popular but forgets his old friends (his true friends) and becomes a jerk like the ones that used to pick on him and his friends, but in the end he goes back to his usual self and the girl falls in love with him (something that doesn't happen in real life) and everything ends happily, something that, guess what, doesn't happen in real life.
