Default FFVII not playing FMV sounds... any help?

So I've been playing FFVII ISO I downloaded from here and for some reason it doesn't play any of the FMV sounds... like when there's an explosion... there's no explosion sound when they shot the huge gun at Weapon there was no sound whatsoever. Is it just mine or are they all like that?

Which sound plugin are you using? I recommend using the Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41 plugin.

I'm using the ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2.

Where can I get the other one if its better?

You can download it here: http://www.ngemu.com/psx/epsxe.php?action=plugins Scroll down to Sound, and it's the very first one.

idk how to copy and paste the plugin settings...
But... for some reason it plays just the music and not the sound effects... and I know in the regular PSX game it had sound effects... so now I'm at the end of the game realizing I didn't have to make sound effects up in my head but that there actually are sound effects that play.

So, did the plugin I suggested work?

Config > Video > Configure > Copy settings to clipboard

Then paste what's been copied here (ctrl + v).

Open the emulator, go to config, sound, and make sure the first 3 boxes have a check next to them. That usually solves sound problems.
