    Default Firmwares

Which is the best custom firmware to upgrade to? I'm currently on DA 3.40 0E-A
and want to upgrade... but i've only ever trusted DA. But since he's left the scene i don't know where to go.

I've got a fat psp not a slim one.

The latest M33 FW is as reliable as the one you are using now since Dark Alex was behind the March33 group

Yeah and I would say the most stable CFW right now would be 3.52 M33-4 (the "-4" means "Update 4") so don't forget to install the 4th update. You can directly install the fourth update without installing the previous ones

Also, the latest CFW released by M33 (aka Dark Alex ) is 3.71 M33, initially on which you couldn't do homebrew coz 1.50 kernel support was not available but DA has released an 1.50 kernel add-on for that but I still don't have more info on it, aka whether its stable and people don't have any problems with it.

But I am 100% sure that 3.52 M33-4 is very VERY stable and you won't run into any trouble with anything whatsoever Also, Sony's hacked NO-UMD driver is awesome with 100% No-UMD compatibility, so you can kiss that demo UMD good bye

Edit: Just saw your post and to answer that, you can jump straight to 3.52 M33 and then install the 4th update

Please read my entire above post, and you'll know why I didn't recommend 3.71 M33.

Edit: Lol....you know I just realized this....

    * Requeriments: a fat psp slim with 3.52 M33-3 or 3.52 M33-4. Previous versions of M33 won't work, due to a bug that affects them and OE; or a psp slim with 3.60 M33.

Which essentially means you have to be on 3.52 M33-3 or 3.52 M33-4 to install 3.71 M33 I must say I forgot all about this.

    Here you go...

    [GUIDE] Installing 3.60M33/3.52M33 Custom Firmwares.

Of course installing 3.52 M33 first and then the fourth update

Totally Just remember to go in the recovery menu => configurations and set the driver being used to "Sony NP9660 No-UMD" once you're done with the M33 install
