Default Can't see text in Chankast?

Hmm..so I installed the emu, configured my controls, then went to Run > Start to test out the BIOS. Everything works fine except there is no text at all. Also, it opens with a grey screen, no Dreamcast logo or anything. Anyone know what could be causing this problem?

    Try these BIOS files:

Remember to unzip them, then place them in the same folder with ChanKast.

They also have to be named:
    dc_bios.bin

    dc_flash.bin

Tried out all of 'em, no difference at all. There is a grey background instead of the Dreamcast logo, and that greyish bar at the the top is transparent and has no info on it all, when it usually displays the date or time or w/e.

    UPDATE:
Just tried out Crazy Taxi II, here's what I got:

No text in-game at all, so I had to blindly navigate the menus to even start a game mode. Then when I do, all the textures are messed up and it just looks plain horrible..

You're using Alpha 0.2 which is an old version of ChanKast.

The latest official version is ChanKast Alpha 0.25:
    http://chanka.emulatronia.com/downlo...55261&selrel=5

The latest unofficial hack is ChanKastEX 1.4.7:
    http://chankex.esmartdesign.com/install.html

    I recommend you get both.

Also get NullDC and DEmul too:
    http://emudev.com/funstuff/nullDC_100b1_setup.rar
    http://demul.emulation64.com/downloads/

Now you have the 4 best DC emulators, with NullDC and ChanKastEX being the 2 best.
