Can't remember a game........

Theres two games that I can't remember what platform they are on, and the exact names.

The one is I think called Evolution, but I can't quite remember. Its quite old. it's a 2D game, and you start out as a fish, and move up in the world by evolving. you do this by defeating other creatures.

The other one I think was alled Monster Box or something, but once again I'm not even remotely sure. you play as a troublesome guy who ends up opening this box where you get a spear, and everyone is turned to stone exept him. so, you go to different towers, fighting creatures with the spear, trying to return everyone. this game is also pretty old.

I've looked evetwhere trying to find out what games they are, and I havent found them. anyone have any idea what game they are and what platform they are on?

The first one is on SNES, I know that much. I think "Eve" is in the title.
