United In Regret left much to be desired, and had much to live up to. Unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver. There are a few gems, but the majority sounds like filler material. Even some of the demo songs that didn't make it on A Celebration of Guilt were far better than what they had on UIR. So yeah, I do share your disdain for it.
