That's what I'm using: AVG free edition.

Been using it for about 4 years, and only had a serious problem with viruses or trojans once--and that was my fault.

AVG Free is the only AV we ever install at work. We'll actually uninstall Norton and replace it with AVG on tune-ups.

AVG, Avast, Antivir. All are free, all are great.

    Norton hasn't been decent since 2002. U_U

I know, because I actually bought Norton SystemWorks 2003.
    Worst 30$ I ever spent.

I eventually downloaded Norton 2002 (minus the anti-virus) and got AVG.

    Haven't had any complaints since.

It will slow down all but the fastest of PCs, for one. It uses old codes, and just adds new features on top every now and then. It's not all that good when it comes down to actual detection; it just detects all that happens and blocks it. Or not. I don't know. Tried it once, for a few days, and it killed my PC.

If you're not having issues, though, I don't see why you should try to fix anything.

    Never heard of it.

Here are the ones I know and would recommend: Kaspersky (not free), NOD32 (not free), AVG, Antivir, Avast.
