Default Re-configure keyboard to control winamp?

Here's the situation. I have a "Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A". As the name implies, it's wireless, with media controls on it. Play/Pause, Stop, Volume, Previous, Next, and a button that opens Windows Media Player.

The problem is, these controls only control WMP, and the button only opens WMP. How do I remap them to work with Winamp? I've looked through the keyboard control panel, even looked at the keyboard's properties via device manager. No options to remap what these do.

See if you can kill the hotkeys in WMP itself.

Erm, you could always try to make WinAMP your default player through Set Program Access and Defaults. (it's in my start menu)

Or... just map them in WinAMP and open the app yourself instead of using the one that opens WMP. Dunno if that would work...

The hotkeys aren't anywhere in WMP, for some reason.

Didn't work. Associated MP3s with it, then set it as default media player. The buttons don't work with it, and the Media button still brings up WMP.

That worked for all but Pause, which just starts the song over (probably because it's on the same button), and the Media button (no option to set a key to open the program itself).

Normally it has software to do it for you. You could try right clicking the winamp shortcut, hit properties, click on the box that says shortcut then hit the open key to map it. This may open both programs though.

If that doesn't help, try going into the folder where the software is install and opening up "commands.xml" in notepad and try to edit the xml file.
