    Default Dreamcast and TV problems

I have a TV in my room that's years old and I have a DC hooked up to it with this cable here. (I just stick it in the back of the TV, choose the right channel and it works fine.)

I tried the DC downstairs on two newer TVs with that cable but I can't get it to work with either. Anything with RCA or SCART connectors work fine. It's the same story with any older console whose AV lead connects to the back of the TV the way the TV antenna does. Any ideas? I'm in a PAL region if that makes any difference.

I would invest in some DC scart plugs.

Also which channel does the tv need to be on for the RF connector.

Most RF's have a switch between 2 channels.

    Do both Channels not work?

I don't know 'cause there's a set-top box for TV channels connected to the TV with a scart lead. There's an RF connector in the back of the TV linking to the box as well,
but it doesn't seem to do a lot because nothing happens to the TV reception if I plug it out.

Yeah, I'll just get a scart lead. Or I'll try tune the TV or something.

Just buy a Scart RGB cable, the quality difference is worth it alone

If you can't find a shop that stocks RGB Scarts for the Dreamcast, ebay usally has a few available

either that or go for a Dreamcast AV or even betta a switchable VGA adapter

a switchable VGA adapter will let you hook up a VGA minitor (best quality video, but can be a bad thing for low res games) aswell as having AV and sometimes S.Video

I got myself a Blaze VGA Adapter for my Dreamcast (VGA out, AV out, S.Video out, and 2 audio out connections in one box)

Note:- Not all games are VGA compatable, I did create a compat list though Dreamcast VGA Compatability list
