    2. Bad Religion - New Map of hell.

Haven't listened to it a whole lot, but it reminds me tons of process of belief, only a bit faster and noisier. It's, not at all, what I wanted. Screams boring..

    Michael Ballack, he scores free-kicks.
He's got black hair, and he's german.
    Michael Ballack, trains in paddocks.
in his spare time, HE FARMS HADDOCKS!
Watch me play Super C, guys!!

Get Sarpanitum's debut album Despoilment of Origin. Should keep you very very amused if The Apostasy was disappointing.

Icky Thump needs to ascend in my list, significantly, and I also love the new Smashing Pumpkins, and Nile records.

Odious Mortem - Cryptic Implosion, a good solid slab of death metal.

After a couple of listens, you're definitely right. That album is an absolutely killer blend of Nile's atmospheric breaks, Immolation's vocals and the typical Columbian DM style (especially apparent in the blast sections). Not what you'd expect from a british band.

It definitely deserves to be on the list, and it reminds me that I need to check out the two Immolation releases from earlier this year. I know they'll slay, it's just a matter of whether they measure up to Failures for Gods and Close to a World Below.

Seconding Darth's picks of United Abominations and Black Rain. Best from either artist in a long time.

Add the new Interpol and Smashing Pumpkins records to the disappointment list... although I wasn't expecting anything great.

Well I don't know if it counts as an album, but Hour of Penance put out a promo/demo that's being shopped around to record labels recently and it kicks ass mightily.

Ghost - In Stormy Nights is pretty righteous.

I thought Systematic Chaos was worse than Octavarium. Now I know why the old fans are whiny about the new DT. They seem to become more generic with each album. To be fair, I actually kinda liked Octavarium though.

The new Atreyu album. The new song is so-so "Becoming the Bull".
