I've never seen a DC with anything but Phillips...there's 4 of them to take the case off...

Are you working on the laser assembly or something?

    Flathead maybe?

    Also.

Dreamcast should be nothing but phillips,
someone must have already opened it and not wanted someone going in there behind them.

    And yes,
    GBA is Tri-Wing,
    most Ninty is.

Recently have the dreamcast modded? Some modders use them to prevent some people from opening it. Otherwise, theres no reason for there to be one.

You have 2 options. Either go buy a Torx Security driver, or you can try to stick a precision regular driver (or any other small head regular driver) in there at an angle between the center post and one of the Torx cutouts and try to force it out.

    Precision regular (there small)

Someone still might have modded it with a region mod or something.

Also it might have been a repair job,
some places do this because they give a warrenty with there repair.
And this is to stop the voiding of the warrenty.
