    Default Thousand Arms text freeze

    Hi,
I'm having trouble playing Thousand Arms: it played just fine up till meeting
Dark Master after the Death Crimson level on disk 2, then about halfway (i think) into the convo between Meis and Master the game freezes up.
You can still hear Dark Master saying something but no text appears.
I've tried it on 2 emulators (ePSXe v.1.60 and PSXeven v.0.19), and they both freeze at exactly the same spot. (Dark master says something like "Are you saying...") I've tried changing the plugins around and frame skipping but it didn't help.
Can someone help me out please?

Sounds like a problem with your ISO if it persists with more than one emulator.

Try either VGS or pSX. If you can't get passed it with those, then it could be your ISO.

Also, are you always trying with a savestate or loading from an actual save?

You probably won't be able to fix it that way.
If I remember correctly to bypass this you should
use Epsxe 1.5.2 cause it'll allow you to load the special
cheat code that prevents the freezing. (those freezes can
happen many times on disc 2 even during dates so be ready )

note: This is emulation related error, not the ISO related one.
and the code don't modify anything in game, only allow you to
bypass the freezes. (remember to enter it before the game freezes
and try making savestates often and you'll be fine)

Some time ago I uploaded the cheatcode file here. I'll try searching it.

Edit: The solution is here: http://www.epforums.org/showpost.php...31&postcount=3
Actually you can use either the plugin I mentioned here or the cheatcode. You don't have
to use both at the same time...

Heh. It's been a long time since my last visit at the 'Emulation Section'.
