Silent Hill Origins's developement team is falling apart from what I hear.
And Silent Hill: Arcade is a blasphemy.

I'm playing SH4 now. I dunno... it's just not as fun to play as the older games in the series. It feels less enchanting, and more like work to see what crazy shit'll happen next to Henry's apartment.
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

Have you missed every discussion here in which it's been said time and again that the AR is not a reliable solution for playing backups, especially if you intend to play burnt DVDs with the thing?

Newer versions of the AR don't stop spinning until you eject the drive, and so even if they have AR disks out with a TOC big enough to load DVD backups, you're going to have a bitch of a time swapping disks out, and will likely fuck up your console trying. You're really better off buying a SM kit for like, thirty bucks and using that. You can still take the top off to use the SM disks, so there's really no downside to it. At all, even.

According to Miyamoto moms are the target for Wii

    ...

Although we have not gathered figures about this, I think games such as Wii Sports can interest women. Hopefully women will begin to enjoy games more. I think our target will be mothers. In a common family with a mother, father and children, I think mothers take the initiative in family entertainment and I think they would respond well to the Wii. And we might go as far as saying that we designed the Wii to that effect -- as something that mothers would want to buy.

    Then you're pretty-much fucked, eh?

Really though, these days buying shit online is as easy as starting a bank account and getting a free Visa debit card along with your account. Are you capable of doing at least that much?

Dunno, 'twas relatively easy for me to acquire a pre-modded console without resorting to online shopping. That might differ around your place of residence, though if you know where to look, you should find one sooner or later, I believe.

Have you checked Craiglist? Donno how many listings the UK gets but there's modded consoles listed constantly around here. Even if there's nothing listed you could just post a want ad.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

A new Tales of game will be released for PS2 in Japan this summer, Tales of Fandom Vol2, including chars from Symphonia and Abyss.

Also, I've heard Kojima could be interested in making a new game full of zombies.. is that true crusher?
