Good news for Sony. And surprising for many I bet.

This is just a confirmation of what Play.com already said weeks ago, apparently the PS3 pre-orders broke all their records.

I've gotta hand it to Sony, they're doing damn well at keeping them in stock. Amazon, Play and most of my local shops have got a healthy supply of PS3s at the moment.

Agree Comic. One of the more popular webshops in Sweden, Discshop, received 200 units. And that's loads! I was expecting like 20-30 at most.

And here's the UK software sales for last week and Top 20 PS3 games. Again good news for Sony/PS3.

Well considering how long they delayed the EU launch, it's the least they could do.

How is C&C3? I haven't had a chance to try out the demo yet, been busy with Supreme Commander instead

    Kane is just so loveable.
I'm wondering how the new faction/race will handle itself according to story/gameplay. Considering it's coming from EA.. I must admit, I'm a wee bit sceptical.

Don't be, they've stayed very faithful to the C&C mythology. Scrin has actually been mentioned before. Remember the huge crashed space ship in Tiberian Sun? The one where, if I recall correctly, the Tacitus where found. That's a Scrin spaceship.

And apparently Scrin plays somewhat like Yuri's faction in Yuri's Revenge. Mind control tech and such.

Oh I know that. They're key to the very storyline, but the part I'm sceptical about is how it's been implemented and the story told
And it's EA. They have a record for pushing out games too fast, too early in the development process.. thats the part that worries me :\

Well based on my experience with the demo, it seems like a very solid product. Remember that former Westwood employees now work for EA and have contributed to C&C3. Don't let the EA logo fool you.

Aye, thats why I'm not worried about the content much. Seeing as they even got the original actor for Kane, I'm giddy as a school girl about this. I grew up with C&C and Red Alert
But even if it's the old crew making it, it could still very well get screwed over if they haven't had enough time to make and polish the game. Weed out bugs, and performance tuning. Demos are just that, fine polished stuff they want us to see
But it's good to hear that the demo is good atleast, but I'll reserve judgement until I have the whole game.

    We've heard that one before
On a more serious note however, I don't doubt that C&C 3 is a sweet game. I have only seen videos myself though, but from them I can tell that this is something else than Gweneralz.
