    Default General Gaming Discussion

I wondered where this thread had gotten to, and then it occured to me that it was made by Lethe, who registered after the point that we rolled back to. Anyway, it was kind of useful for posting things that were news-ish, but not news-ish enough to merit their own thread. So I'm recreating it.

To start it off...probably really old news, and kind of a no-brainer, but Clover Studio plants new SEEDS. Yay for the possibility of more Okami & Viewtiful Joe-esque games.

I was actually gonna see if Roux wanted to do it.
    I even consulted god!

But it's great YOU chose to do it. :dansu:

It seems Okami is all the rage round here, at the moment. I played it a couple of days ago in the store. I had to paint a dragon (more like add an extra dot) and eventually came to a tree with a fruit at the top. But I didn't know what to do. Maybe pressing 'circle' and incessent barking will get it down from up there.

    Thanks. ¬_¬

I doubt I would have been able to get that at the time, anyway. I proceeded what seemed like straight ahead, dashing, eventually coming to that gate with the light coming from it. I was digging, running around at full sprint and smashing pots along the way.
When I came to that tree, I tried to jump on those rocks to the left, then make a break for the fruit. I attempted to cut it down with the paintbrush (it's annoying when Issun berates you everytime you let go of R1) before leaving the area and searching around.
I ended up back underneath the peach, howling. XD

I was impressed by the graphics. It was already played through a bit - since it was on trial at the game section - but when I completed that white dragon, there was a sequence when he emerges from the scroll. It had a "magical" feeling.
The last game I played with a familiar look was the recent DBZ, a game which I did not approve of its graphical style.

I don't think I will be buying Okami as of now, but I would play it again if given the chance.

Nah, I just ran across the site today randomly. Sorry. I translated the 'message' page quickly, though, to give you the point. I can translate the rest, too, if there's anything of interest to you.

Atsushi Inaba, Hideki Kamiya, Shinji Mikami. And a carefully selected staff.

We are the seeds (SEEDS) from which the vividly coloured flowers Biohazard, Devil May Cry, Tekki, Viewtiful Joe, and Okami grew.

While we have fallen to new soil, even amidst different soil, our desire to pursue the ideal of "play" remains unchanged.

Now we are thinking of issuing a great challenge to the world of entertainment. However, for that to take place, we need many, many more seeds.

Therefore, we are looking far and wide for applications from those who wish to work with us. People who are laying the foundations of the future. People who are already making games elsewhere.

Won't you come and make a truly spectacular game together with us?

Eh heh, I thought much the same. It's a lot of flowery language (pun not intended) to make a simple point.

Still, I look forward to their future projects.

Arctually, I considered re-creating the thread myself long time, but thought crusher would eventually get to it, seeing as he usually posted in it.

Speaking of crusher, how 'bout that Metal Gear movie, eh? Mr. Hayter should probably pump up -- he might get the part then...

    God:
Hello child. What is your name?
    Me:
    *********
    God:
    What's up, *********.
    Me:

    God:
    Not a thing? Who?
    Me:
    Some guy at some forum
    God:
Some may guy at some forum, but not all.
    Me:
that didn't make sense at all. Is that some sort of special God-talk?
    God:
To me it makes perfect sense. Suppose I said yes.
    Me:
I guess I should believe you, then
    God:
What would happen if you didn't?
    Me:
You'd smoke me with a giant thunderbolt?
    God:
Who else would smoke you with a giant thunderbolt ?
    Me:
Zeus, I guess... But then again, he's a fake, isn't he?
    God:
That input matched my default category. Again, I don't know very many fake is not he.
    Me:
You're playing with my brains!! :O!
    God:
You think I am playing with your brains. Oh.
    Me:
yes, that is what I think
    God:
Far out. What is your rationale?
    Me:
    er... your lack of... sense?
    God:
Um. You think I am lack of. Where are you located?
    Me:
    Good ol' Mexico!
    God:

    Me:

    God:

    Me:
    Because you're screwing with me
    God:
Good reason. I have no reason to do that to you, *********.
    Me:

    God:
Ayuh. No I do not you are just a pawn in my chess board. Do you?
I am always on the Web.
    Me:

    God:

    Me:
    that's what I said, yes
    God:
I know. I'm still thinking about it.
    Me:
but, I thought you could think like, 1,000,000 friggin' light years a minute!
    God:
I could but let's get back to that later.
    Me:

    God:

    Me:

    God:

    God:
Sorry my eye is not attached right now.
    Me:

    God:
    Just for now? Congratulations. Great.
    Me:
o...k... well, see ya later God -- probably in a couple years
    God:
Well that's okay. I see. Woe! I am a Christian. I hear you.
