Anyone have any good reccommendations on a cheap, decent game capture card. Something around $50? Something that will have decent video quality, and from which I can record my game consoles, mostly PS3 and Xbox 360.

Not sure if you'll get what you want for that price Even fairly expensive units like Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition suffer the PS3 "HDMI limitation" (PS3 encrypts its HDMI connection) so you have to resort to using component and 1080i. No HDMI restriction for 360 though.

I even found that there is much more translation projects in progress or finished.
Even tho i did knew about few there seems to be a lot more, i can't post link but there is a person who seems to follow all patch releases for psp translations.Just search google nicoblog

Quite funny that he is playing a Japanese famicom game yet..........its in english?

either he has a pirate cart/Flash cart or he is actually playing on a emulator, kinda funny Jon never mentions this.....

Maybe it's an English patched reproduction? I've heard of him,but I haven't watched his videos. I'm going to watch some more videos because he is pretty funny.

Reproductions are still pirate carts, just made to look as authentic as possible and are of a much higher quality.

The manufacturer of the Repro still has no legal right to make and distribute the game, and then using a fan translators work is just two times the trouble, stealing work from 2 sources, not just one.

Most are of course old games no one cares about anymore , but the fan translators don't find it amusing in the least since someone is profiting off of their hard work , why alot of fan translators put intros stating this work is not to be prepatched and distributed and/or sold in any form.

Just thought id throw that out there, repros are cool and all but if I was the dev/pub of that game/translation I would be just a little pissed

Of course, if nintendo wanted to waste more money for little gain sure they would go after em, but its not worth it so they wont

Plus I think a good portion of the Repo games are from defunct companies .

I don't know. All I know is that most of the reproduction carts are of Japanese games that never saw a NA release. So I honestly don't know.
