    Default FCEU Netplay

i was wondering how do i get FCEU running netplay on windows?

I see there are server programs, but I don't know how to compile them for windows, as the ones on the official site seem to be built for linux

Is there anywhere the source code has already been compiled for windows?

    thanks in advance

Says here to use Cygwin to compile the source:
    http://fceultra.sourceforge.net/support.php#netplay

I'll try to find a binary for you.
    Wish me luck.

i've thus far installed cygwin and been able to compile the source code to a binary, but when i try to run the .exe, it says it needs cygwin.dll to run....does anyone know the command line in bash shell to convert the binary to windows or how to compile a windows environment binary?

sorry i know this is almost outside the realm of emulation, but ive never compiled a program before and it's a little confusing to be quite honest

    Did you check the guide?

Here's another one that might help you:

    guess what, i'm retarded

all i had to do was copy the cygwin .dll to the binary directory

this binary works in dos with the cygwin1.dll and runs in the background while you run FCEU

you must first run the binary, then FCEU, then open rom, then start netplay server

i'm currently testing it out with someone

any interest in a tutorial on this? i can even upload the binary complete with .dll files for whoever wants to use it in windows, but, like me, was idiotic when it comes to compiling

Why don't you upload it here, along with the emulator:

i uploaded everything in a .rar to this url

still working it out though, seems that port forwarding and firewalls are an issue
