In addition to the bands Death Cube K posted, you should check out Hot Water Music, Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate and Face to Face's "Ignorance is Bliss" album. Saosin are worth a listen too, and you'll probably also like Reggie & The Full Effect since it's basically the pet project of James Dewees.

Well, I just know that the get up kids and juliana theory started up around, uh, '95-00, and they're, like Fallout boy, considered Emo. I don't even know what emo means nowadays, but, yeah. I like the "you don't know anything about music" line so much that I simply had to post.

Fallout Boy aren't really emo, they're just... yeah. I can't think of a word that carries the required negative weight. The Get Up Kids and the like were actually pretty kicking rad though.

Nah, it's alright man. Those two bands aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I was really into them and Alkaline Trio during my early teenage years so I still have a soft spot for the genre.
