Games not running smoothly

Okay i dunno why i'm getting this problem. I recently bought a whole new system complete with motherboard, video card, ram you name it i got a new one. Here's my specs. CPU: AMD Athlonx64 Dual-Core 4200+ , 2GB DDR2 Ram @333 Mhz, GeForce 256MB 7300GS video card. I got Tiger Woods Golf 2007 from a friend and the first 5 minutes runs fine, however when it starts getting choppy. By choppy i mean when i try to do the 3-click swing the frames start skipping and usually a very slow swing meter turns into a very fast swing meter which skips a few frames and makes it difficult for me to do a good golf swing in the game. I upgraded my video card drivers. I dunno what else i can do or what can explain it. Help? BTW: add info. OS: Windows XP Professional.

All I can think of is buggy game or smthg wrong with your graphic card or perhaps memory...or maybe windows XD
Does this happen with any other games you play?

Try updating your graphics card's drivers. You should be able to get them from the card's manufacturer's website.

Did you change the settings in your graphics card.
Check the color quality that fixed a problem I had once.

It's not the only game. Ive had slow down problems before. I did upgrade my drivers i wrote that down as the first thing i tried.

You're overheating, I'm almost positive. If you can't get a case fan or two, you can always take the ghetto solution, open your computer case, and stick a window fan up in thar. It's what's currently cooling my computer (I've got a small "quiet run" one, though. It's no match for my speakers. :3)
