Unhappy NTSC Playback on PAL PS2's

Can someone help me. I've tried many things, but I just can't get NTSC games to run on my PAL PS2. And im not shelling out 100s of dollars on a modchip and voiding my warranty.

Journey with me to the centre of the earth, whats that?
Where's your heat protection suit? Um... I don't know....

You already tried the NTSC to PAL VMode XChanger, which can be found on Megagames?
    Or this one: http://rapidshare.com/files/15677763...erter.rar.html
I have to say that I can't tell out of experience if it will work, I don't need to patch since my PS2 has a modchip.

Zoneloader might be an option too, no need for patching with this:

Buying a Scart leads is the best option, enabling you to display 60Hz on your PAL TV

but otherwise pathing/Zoneloader are ok methods but will mess up sound sync in some games even make some unplayable.
