Strategy rpg's!! I never thought they were so good. Front mission,Bahamut Lagoon, Energy Breaker etc. they all are so good.

The Snk NeoGeo MVS. The home to the best arcade titles i have ever seen & in the history. Try this out,lots of games to try from different genres.
Fighting - King of Fighters series,Art of Fighting series, Fatal Fury series,Garou Mark of the Wolves etc.
Run n Gun - Metal Slug series
Shmup's - Aero Fighters 2 & 3,Blazing Star,Andro Dunos, etc.

Also there are some good platform games too.

Since you mentioned Spyro, do you want it to be cartoon-ish? then play the newer ratchet and clank games. If you don't care about that you can play the GTA or Assassin's Creed games (suggested for not being linear)

Dragon Force II has recently gotten a gameplay patch (which translates the text regarding gameplay, but not the story text), so you might want to play that.
