    Default Custom Music? Sega Saturn.

I found some Sega Saturn ISOs that has MP3s files with them? Does that mean you can use custom music? Is it possible to have custom music with SS games?

Rename the songs you want to play like the ones that came with the ISO, then swap them with the originals. Make sure you save those originals, too.

Just to be on the safe side, you may want to edit the size of the songs you want to add in, to be the same size as the ones you're replacing.

I don't know that it should matter. Hell, I'm not sure this is even feasible. However, it couldn't hurt just to take that extra precaution.

Probably the file size as cyber said. You could try a file that's either smaller or bigger than the original.
Or maybe those mp3s have certain info in them. You could open them in a hex editor and see if you can spot anything as well as try edit them to the same size. Just some ideas..

    No. It's an ISO/MP3.

You converted the MP3's to wav before you burned it, right?

If he's using an emulator it shouldn't matter. Which is probably the case, given how rare modded saturns are these days.

    They're not really that rare.

    Chips are still available.

Those MP3 files just get turned into audio tracks on the CD, so yeah, you could replace them. Though if the games locate these audio files by position, your results might not be optimal. Say, you replace a 2 minute song with a 4 minute one. In this case, when the game tried loading the song after this one, it'd seek halfway into the 4 minute song instead. Which is probably not what you want.

If you use the swap trick doing this will make the Saturn reject the disc as soon as it realises the TOC is different, I'm sure.

You're going to have to make sure the tracks are the right size as the ones you're placing so it seems identical to the original disc.
And if you didn't make a cue you should make a new one <___<
