Wow. That's just... wow. I'm looking forward to it, since I didn't get a PS2 and it's pointless getting one now.

Ty-chan: Not with your computer, ever. ;x

Annd…I don't think it'll catch up in time for anyone to really notice, and more importantly anyone not rich enough to own one of those four-SLI machines will miss out. It's good to see progress all the same, I guess?

The 360 certainly can't seem to get it down, anyways. :P

The Xbox would be really easy to run on standard PC hardware, if it wasn't for the fact that the games rely on exact timings and all code runs in Ring 0. The code requries DirectX so it needs Windows Platform, but no Windows Platform except for the Win2k kernal hack that runs the Xbox will ever ALLOW code to run at Ring 0. So it's down to pure software emulation, which not even the Xbox 360 can do on a global scale, each game basically has to be tweaked and setup for the emulation enviroment manually. Ick

Even a four - SLI machine wouldn't do much good as most next gen emulation is CPU limited not GPU Though inherently the four SLI machine would of course have a pretty fast CPU to go with it.

The xbox still has custom parts that give it some trouble in emulation, the p3 is a bit modified, as is the graphics and all that. The problem thats stopping even the 360 from emulating it all that well is because programmers dont always program "by the books" and come up with various custom ways to get the most from the hardware, resulting in a harder time trying to emulate it
