Yarrgh. I'm not really that much into them, but some are definitely rad, and I do love me some Relics of the Chozo.

    Moved to the Music Zone.

Yeah that Relics of the Chozo remix album is brilliant, I remember you sent me the FLAC version a while ago Skinner. The recent Doom remix album is worth a download too. Oh, and feel free to show us your remixes, zero_defekz. As long as your webpage doesn't break any of the forum rules (warez/porn etc.) there should be no problems with you posting a link in this thread.

Yeah cool, give us some links, I'd be interested. x)

I haven't done any real remixes so far, only some orchestrations of old game music. I prefer listening to the original music, but in better quality than midi-ish of course.

Anyway I'd love to hear what you got, so post it up.

megaman is listed under the "techno" button on the left.. this was one of the first remixes i did.. about 4-5 years back.. since then.. ive gotten hella better with my sequencing software...

final fantasy 3 is listed under hiphop and dubs

thinking of you - (terra theme in the beggining) -> hip hop

sweetest dreams - (celes opera sidequest) -> dubs

I also did a remix of Locke and Rachel's song... but i havent hosted it yet (angelfire bein a punk about my site... i may end up havin to pay for extra storage and bandwidth ) but when i host it.. ill re-edit this post

Oh... you haven't been making music for too long, right? There's still a lot to improve, especially the arrangements and the sound quality. Your remixes are lacking a build-up of tension and dynamic, they're kinda affected by a persistent monotony. Concerning the sound... erm, my English is leaving me in the lurch here... how'd you call it, at some stage the sound's overamplifying, creating short noises, you know. It's pretty much a must to get rid of that.

Other than that, the ideas as such aren't too bad, even though I'm not a great fan of Hip Hop or Dub.

well.. guitar ive been playin for about 7-8 years
drums ive been on about 3-4.. i just got back into playin keyboard like a year or so ago...tryin to relearn everything i forgot

as far as the samples go.. mostly thats from an instrument package i purchased.. yeah.. i could create new ones.. but the problem with that is.. overall.. with this sequencing program. i barely scratched the surface as far as features, and what i could do with it... that.. and my "studio" really isnt all that "up there" to begin with

i have my pc, my keyboard, and a 2 channel mixer.. usually i have to play the beat through my pc.. out to the mixer then back IN to the pc.. all the while listening to it on a pair of crappy stereo speakers.. which are pretty much near the end of theyre life span lol..

i gotta pretty good idea which song your specifically referring to about the overamplifying.. probably the sweetest dreams remix.. although.. i think that my "Lost faith" remix has probably got to be my best one yet.. as i used a lot more of the features of my software..

but.. thats where expirimenting comes in
thanks for the feedback.. i havent had really too much time to devote to the program... my music has pretty much been a hobby.. i DO have some guitar recordings of some reggae covers i did (not sure if your a fan of reggae though)

this was all before i got my mixer n stuff.. the mic i used cut off a ton of the bass to one of my recordings.. when i get my guitar outta storage.. i think i'd like to re-record it

    again.. thanks for the feedback
